Festival activities include complimentary BBQ lunch, entertainment,
mexican cuisine, bounce house, obstacle course, rock wall, face painting,
carnival games, raffle and more.
[28-Sep-09] Tropical Storm Ketsana
The Knights of Columbus Supreme Council has moved quickly to provide
aid to the Philippines in the wake of the worst flooding in more than
40 years.
The Supreme Council immediately sent $50,000 in aid to the Catholic
Bishops Conference of the Philippines.
Individual Knights can make contributions using an
online link to United in Charity.

[12-Sep-09] Tanner Bone Marrow Drive
Tanner recently began more chemotherapy, but ultimately needs a bone
marrow transplant to save his life. Please help Tanner to celebrate his
5th birthday disease free! More information is available
in the flyer.
[28-Aug-09] Parish Potluck
The theme for this month is, Wild West. The time will be 6:00pm
in the OLS parish center which will be decorated for the theme.
Please bring with you either a main dish or salad or dessert.
Sign-ups/RSVP are appreciated as this helps us to balance the
menu (please contact the event coordinators Jeff & Shannon).

The Knights are selling 50,000 raffle tickets in Nevada
to help the Bishops support their seminarians.

[9-Apr-09] Defend Conscience Rights in Health Care
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is inviting
public comment on a proposal to rescind the federal regulation that
protects the conscience rights of health care providers.
Catholic doctors, nurses and hospitals are at risk of being
discriminated against because of their moral and religious
objections to abortion. April 9 is the last day to
let your voice
be heard on this important federal regulation.
[27-Feb-09 through 3-Apr-09] Lenten Soup Suppers
The Knights of Columbus are serving meatless soup suppers
for the parish
at the OLS Parish Center during Lent on
February 27, March 6, 13, 20, 27 and April 3 at 5:30pm.
Suppers are followed by Stations of the Cross in the church at 7pm.
Everybody is welcome.
[21-Mar-09] The Freedom of Choice Act
The Freedom of Choice Act
may soon be brought before congress. If enacted it
will grant every expectant mother a fundamental right to have
the baby in her womb killed.
No government
may deny or interfere with this right and
every public program which supports motherhood must equally
support abortion.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has a
comprehensive
analysis, but it needs your support in fighting this measure.

The Ladies Auxiliary and the Knights of Columbus are
hosting a St Patricks Day Dinner open to
the Parish.
Tickets $5.00/person or $20.00/family.

[21-Feb-09] Mardi Gras
Council 4997 Knights and Ladies will have a Mardi Gras Party and
potluck for our council members and their families in the OLS
Parish Center at 6pm.
[09-Feb-09] Free Throw Shoot
We completed the Free Throw Shoot Contest. We have winners in all ages
and both boys and girls, who will advance to the regional on March 7
at Bishop Monogue at 11:00am. A total of 56 athletes competed with
much cooperation of the CYO coaches.
[02-Feb-09] Superbowl Party
Our council is hosting the OLS Superbowl Party at the OLS
parish center starting at 2:00pm.
